MANLIUS, NY (WSYR-TV) - Fayetteville-Manlius High School students held a special fundraiser Saturday night to help buy school supplies for the Syracuse City School District's Dr. Weeks Elementary School.
The fundraiser was hosted by the F-M Community Connections Club, which takes trips to the elementary school every other week, as part of the Say Yes to Education program.
Saturday’s fundraiser was to be a showcase of F-M’s diverse student population.
“We don't even know about all these cultures that are around us and we thought it would be great to actually just bring them in one place so everybody can enjoy them,” said F-M High School Senior Simrita Deol.
The Community Connections Club raised $3,500 to help fund school supply kits for kids at Weeks Elementary School.
