State Police search the office of Martin Rothschild
East Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – State Police searched the office and the Manlius home of prominent local personal injury lawyer Martin Rothschild on Tuesday morning.
Onondaga County District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick says police were searching Rothchild's computers for child pornography.
State Police told Fitzpatrick that forensic examination of a computer seized during the search would be ready in about a week.
It's unclear what evidence was presented to a judge to warrant the search, Fitzpatrick said.
Police emerged from the office with several computers and other electronic devices.
The agencies involved in the investigation included the New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit, the United States Secret Service, and the US Marshall’s Office.
Police have not arrested anyone. Their investigation is ongoing.
Multiple police vehicles were seen in front of the office at Chimney’s Plaza on Bridge Street in East Syracuse. Rothschild’s television commercials
have been a mainstay in Central New York for years.
