DeWitt massage therapist pleads guilty to forcible touching
DeWitt (WSYR-TV) – A DeWitt massage therapist pleaded guilty on Tuesday to charges that he inappropriately touched women in his office.
After the first victim stepped forward last year, numerous women told Onondaga County Sheriff’s Investigators that Eli Guterman touched them inappropriately.
He was initially accused of sex abuse, as well as forcible touching.
He pleaded guilty to six counts of forcible touching in DeWitt Town Court and will face six years probation.
As part of the plea agreement, he gave up his license to practice as a massage therapist and as a chiropractor.
Guterman also agreed to refrain from pursuing a license in that practice in the future.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 3 in DeWitt Town Court at 7 p.m.
