Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A Syracuse defense attorney is among several men indicted in connection to a conspiracy to thwart a murder case.
Attorney Ezequiel Neuman of DeWitt was indicted on enterprise corruption, a felony; two counts of tampering with a witness in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor; two counts of bribing a witness, a felony; criminal solicitation, a misdemeanor; conspiracy, a misdemeanor; and two counts of promoting prison contraband, a felony.
Six other men were also indicted in connection to the investigation. Along with personnel in his own office, District Attorney Bill Fitzpatrick credited several agencies including US Marshals, DEA, and the Syracuse Police Department Warrant Squad.
Iris Resto, Paul Santiago, and Johan Carrisquillo were all indicted on charges including conspiracy, felony bribing a witness and felony intimidating a witness.
Dean Orlando Pizarro, Emilier Carraquillo-Fuentes, and Jesus Carmona are all indicted on felony assault and murder charges.
The shooting occurred at a South Geddes Street gas station. Luis Osario Quinonez was killed in the shooting, another was injured.
Carmona is already serving 10 years to life in prison for his role in the murder.
