Willet, Cortland County (WSYR-TV) - Cortland County Sheriff's deputies have made a big marijuana bust late Sunday night at a home in the Town of Willet.

29-year-old Jeremy Wheeler, of Willet, and his father, 51-year-old William Wheeler, of Whitney Point, have been charged with growing the marijuana.

Roughly 115 plants were recovered, along with a loaded gun and a large amount of cash.

Deputies say Jeremy Wheeler also faces a charge of resisting arrest after struggling with officers, and faces an evidence tampering charge after police say he ripped some leaves off of one of the pot plants and ate them.

Deputies say more charges are pending against both suspects.
