Verona (WSYR-TV) – Two people have been injured in a Monday morning crash in the Oneida County Town of Verona.

Oneida County Sheriff’s deputies say Michael Schoff, 57, of West Leyden, was driving a pickup truck while towing a trailer east on Route 365 when he made an unsafe lane change and struck a car at about 11:10 a.m.

Deputies say the car, driven by Kathleen Pellegrino, 53, of Whitesboro, went off the road and into the median, where it struck a sign post.

Pellegrino and her passenger, Andrew Riopel, 15, of Whitesboro, suffered minor injuries and were taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for evaluation.

Schoff was ticketed for an unsafe lane change.
