SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV)
Thousands of people were invited to see the benefits of living and working in downtown Syracuse.
The Downtown Committee of Syracuse held its 5th Annual Downtown Living Tour on Saturday to promote the urban lifestyle and attract more people to the heart of the city.
"We don't expect that everyone coming down here is looking to purchase or you know rent an apartment today. But it's really an event to get them thinking about the opportunities that are out there and you know maybe next year they'll consider downtown for their next home,” said Merike Treier, the Deputy Director of the Committee.
This year five workplaces were included in the tour as the Committee hopes to prove to people that downtown isn't just a great place to live, but also to do business.
