Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The dredging of Onondaga Lake has resumed, three weeks after neighbors complained about foul odors, temporarily shutting down the project.

The Honeywell Corporation, the contractor for the project, has added filters and equipment covers in an effort to eliminate or reduce the problem.

Neighbors had been complaining about the smell since July.

Honeywell and Department of Environmental Conservation say the odor is not a health threat.
