Drivers identified in fatal Tompkins County crash
NEWFIELD, NY (WSYR-TV) - State police are still investigating what caused a deadly two-car crash on State Route 13 outside of Ithaca Friday night.
They say 48-year old David Wilkins of Elmira was southbound, when he went into the northbound lane and hit another car driven by 57-year old Daniel Welton of Newfield.
Wilkins was pronounced dead at the scene.
Welton was taken to a Pennsylvania Hospital for multiple injuries.
