Clinton (WSYR-TV) -- Drug charges were dismissed Thursday against Jon Bon Jovi's daughter, 19-year-old Stephanie R. Bongiovi, and her friend 21-year-old Ian S. Grant.
The Oneida County District Attorney's Office says Bongiovi didn't possess enough heroin to merit the charge and her friend brought her to the hospital, which is protected from charges under
current law.
Bongiovi and 21-year-old Ian Grant, both of of Red Bank, N.J., had each been charged with drug possession.
On Wednesday morning, an ambulance was sent to Hamilton College on a report that a female had apparently overdosed on heroin.
Investigator Peter Cania says Bongiovi is recovering at a hospital he declined to name.
