Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse University has declined to confirm
an ESPN website report that Fab Melo is not expected to play in Saturday’s game against West Virginia.
Melo sat out the last two games for what is believed to be an academic issue. He has, however, been practicing with the team.
The ESPN report references an unnamed Syracuse spokesperson as the source. According to the report, the issue is taking longer to resolve than anticipated.
Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday. More than 27,000 tickets have been sold for the game.
