East Syracuse man admits to stealing from Alzheimer’s patient

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – An East Syracuse man pleaded guilty on Wednesday to stealing antique collectibles from an Alzheimer’s patient.

Andrew Firnstein and Christina Searles were both accused of stealing antique steins and Hummel figurines from the victim, who Searles was paid to take care of.

On Wednesday, Firnstein pleaded guilty to grand larceny in the third degree and will be sentenced to two to four years in prison.

He must also repay $4,475 before his sentencing.
