DeWitt (WSYR-TV) – DeWitt Police have arrested two people who they say stole more than 60 antique collectibles from a 75-year-old man who suffers from Alzheimer’s disease.

According to police, 27-year-old Christina Searles was being paid $150 per week by the victim’s family, with whom she was familiar.

They say Searles and 29-year-old Andrew Firnstein, who live at the same address – 131 Washburn Dr., East Syracuse – stole antique steins and Hummel figurines from the home.

Police say additional charges are pending since the victim is also missing thousands of dollars from his checking account.

Searles was arraigned in Town of DeWitt Court and taken to the Justice Center in lieu of $7,000 cash bail or $14,000 bond. Firnstein was taken to the Justice Center in lieu of $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond.
