East Syracuse woman pleads guilty to murder-for-hire plot
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - An East Syracuse woman admitted on Friday that she tried to employ a number of people to kill her ex-lover’s husband.
Marnie Nappi, 40, pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal solicitation and will spend 2 1/3 to 7 years in prison when she is sentenced.
Investigators said she paid multiple people more than $20,000 in her efforts to have David Gardner of Minoa killed. She had been hustled by would-be killers on several occasions.
She was arrested in September 2011 after police were tipped off that she had tried to hire a hitman.
