Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – US unemployment dropped slightly in the month of September, according to a Federal jobs report that was delayed by the government shutdown.
According to the report, the economy gained 148,000 in September, and the unemployment rate fell from 7.3 percent to 7.2 percent.
US unemployment fell to its lowest rate since 2008, but showed that hiring has slowed. The country added 193,000 jobs in August.
