Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Today is the final day of business for one of Syracuse's post offices.

Elmwood Station on South Avenue will exchange its final piece of mail just before its doors close at the end of the day.

Post Office boxes currently housed at the Elmwood Station will be moved to the Colvin Street Station on the 2200 block of South Salina Street.

Elmwood is one of approximately 500 post office locations closing around the US as the Postal Service tries to save money.

The Postal Service will ultimately look to close another 2,000 branches and stations.
