Auburn (WSYR-TV) – Emergency responders from Cayuga County have been sent to Coney Island.

On Monday, the Cayuga County Emergency Operations Center was asked to send a 14-person crew with swift water rescue capabilities.

The team is made up of members of the Auburn, Aurelius, and Owasco Fire Departments.  They were sent to Coney Island to assist with their swift water rescue operations.

The task force was sent to the city overnight and will be deployed for at least 72 hours, working 12 hour shifts.
