Emergency, utility crews respond to East Genesee Street accident

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – National Grid crews and emergency personnel were called to the scene of an accident in which a car crashed into a utility pole on East Genesee Street early Friday morning.

The accident occurred around 2 a.m. near the intersection with Westcott Street.

Police have not indicated what caused the crash.

Only one car was involved in the accident.

Police have not identified the driver.

They also have not indicated how many people were in the vehicle or whether or not anyone was injured.

National Grid staff said the street would be reopened around 8 a.m.
