Manlius (WSYR-TV) - It appears Manlius’ swans may not be ready to become parents. A local expert observed the swans Wednesday and said “Faye” doesn’t appear to be on the verge of laying eggs any time soon.

Earlier this week, the village sprang into action to help protect the swans after their eggs were destroyed. A Jamesville man is accused of taking the first round of eggs and smashing them.

Ross Leone, 26, is now facing misdemeanor charges in connection with the incident.

Meanwhile, neighbors have agreed to set up surveillance cameras to monitor the eggs once they’re laid.
