FEMA extends application deadline for federal assistance
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Governor Cuomo says FEMA has extended public assistance outreach following the flooding earlier this summer.
The move will extend the application deadline for federal assistance for a few more weeks.
Local governments already struggling to clean up the damage will now have more time to apply for aid.
FEMA granted aid for Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Madison and Oneida counties among others back in July.
