Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Just one day after the State Fair came to an end, the process to return the Fairgrounds back to normal is underway.
As vendors pack up and leave, bags and bags of trash will be left behind.
The process to get all of them removed from the fairgrounds won't actually start until Wednesday.
"There's no point in having them work today, because everybody else is pulling apart their displays, so when most of that is done, the cleaning crews can start on the outer edges of the Fairgrounds and move slowly into the corners," said Dave Bullard with the New York State Fair.
In a matter of days, the Fairgrounds will return to its normal condition, ready for other events as the planning for next year’s State Fair begins almost immediately.
Fair organizers say a majority of the vendors will be gone by the end of Tuesday.
