Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Six people - including several children - are safe after a fire severely damaged a house in Syracuse early Tuesday morning.

Syracuse fire personnel say the blaze started in the second floor in a teenager’s bedroom.

Fire personnel do not know the cause of the fire yet. The home was engulfed in flame upon their arrival.

It took several minutes to put out the fire, which had spread into the attic.
