Washington, DC (CNN/ABC News/WSYR-TV) – A female suspect is dead after attempting to ram a barricade at the White House with her car before speeding off towards the US Capitol building on Thursday.
Police say they stopped a black Infiniti near the White House, and then chased it to an area near the Capitol building.

says police are trying to confirm that driver killed was a 34-year-old woman from Stamford, Conn., with a history of mental health issues.CNN reports
that Police and bomb squad units surrounded the women’s Stamford residence as officials prepare to execute a search warrant.
Police said there were no weapons found in the suspect’s car according to ABC News
Two police officers were injured during the incident. CNN reports
that a one-year-old child was in the car with the woman, but appears to have been unharmed.
