Fine to remain in local Hall of Fame

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame voted on Thursday night to keep disgraced former SU men’s basketball assistant coach Bernie Fine within its numbers on Thursday night.

Fine was inducted into the hall of fame last October – just one month before two of his accusers, Bobby Davis and Mike Lang, went public with accusations that he had sexual contact with them when they underage boys.

The board says it could revisit the issue in the future. No one has ever been removed from the Hall of Fame.
