DeWitt (WSYR-TV) - Multiple fire crews were called to a reported fire at the Carrier Corporation complex off Thompson Road in DeWitt early Tuesday afternoon.

The fire was reported just before 1 p.m. and firefighters had put it out before 2:30 p.m.

The fire was reportedly caused by contractors working on the roof.

All of the employees in the building were evacuated and the power was shut off in order to facilitate the firefight. No one was injured during the incident.

A NewsChannel 9 photojournalist at the scene said no smoke was visible, but firefighters were walking on the roof of a building.
