Firefighters battle Syracuse blaze
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Fire crews responded to a fire on Friday morning on Syracuse’s Near West Side.
According to fire personnel, the fire began in an upstairs apartment in the building at 217 Lakeview Ave.
A family of three living in the apartment escaped safely. The fire was put out quickly, but the family will not be able to return to the dwelling immediately.
Fire personnel do not know what caused the fire, but do not believe it was suspicious.
