Firefighters put out Tipp Hill fire

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Syracuse fire crews responded to a fire on Tipperary Hill early Wednesday morning.

The fire began around 2:30 a.m. in an apartment on Whittier Avenue.

The fire was out within minutes.

The Red Cross said that a woman and two children were in the building when the fire broke out, but they are safe.

Fire officials have not indicated the extent of the damage, nor have they said what caused the fired.

Officials say the residents should be able to return to the dwelling today.
