Foot chase ends with arrest of 17-year old on weapons charge
SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police say a suspicious person complaint led to a chase and eventually the arrest of a teen with a loaded gun.
Around 11:00 Saturday night, 911 received a call about a male armed with a hand gun standing in the 400 block of Rowland Street.
When officers arrived, three males standing in the area took off running.
After a short chase, the officers were able to catch all three.
Police were able to recover a loaded 357 magnum revolver and 17-year old Romeo Williams of Syracuse was arrested.
Investigators say Williams had pointed the handgun at another person during an earlier incident.
He was charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
Williams was sent to the Justice Center and is set to be arraigned sometime on Sunday.
The other two males were released without being charged.
