Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A former radiologist admitted in court on Wednesday morning to charges that he struck a homeless man while driving drunk on the Onondaga Lake Parkway in August.
Dr. Frank Vogel, a former Upstate University Hospital doctor, pleaded guilty to first degree vehicular assault. According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, Vogel was driving drunk with a blood alcohol content level of .2 at the time of the incident, more than twice the legal limit.
The man he hit, 32-year-old Jason Farnham, had to be taken to the hospital in critical condition after Vogel hit him with his vehicle.
