Former Upstate University Hospital doctor arraigned on vehicular assault, DWI charges

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A Syracuse doctor who is accused of being drunk behind the wheel in a crash that put a pedestrian in the hospital in August was arraigned on Wednesday.

Frank Vogel, 66, of Syracuse, was arraigned on charges of first and second degree vehicular assault and drunk driving charges including aggravated driving while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated.

According to the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office, Vogel’s car hit Jason Farnham as he was walking along Onondaga Lake Parkway.

Vogel was previously employed as a radiologist at Upstate University Hospital.
