Former youth care professional facing child sex charges

Rochester (WSYR-TV) -- A 30-year-old former youth care professional from Rochester is accused of having sexual contact with a 15-year-old resident of Hillside Children’s Center.

State Police in Rochester arrested Matthew D. King, of 147 Bergen Street, on August 16.

King is charged with five counts of criminal sexual act and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Police say the charges stem from allegations on numerous occasions that King had sexual contact with the teen resident while he was employed by the Hillside Children’s Center.

King is being held at the Monroe County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on August 17.
