Fort Drum soldier accused of burning a 2-month-old in scalding water
Watertown (WSYR-TV) – A Fort Drum soldier is facing charges including felony assault after allegedly giving a 2-month-old severe burns in scalding bathwater.
State Police say the child suffered second degree burns over 45 percent of his body when 22-year-old Nathanael Garrison of Watertown subjected him to the water.
In addition to second degree assault, Garrison was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.
He was arraigned in Village of Carthage Court and taken to Jefferson County jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
