SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - Three members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at Syracuse University donated their time on Saturday to be bell ringers for the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign.
One senior and two juniors manned a giant red kettle inside Destiny U.S.A.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon offers up volunteers every year.
Senior Charles Akinboyewa said he was doing more than just ringing a bell to grab people’s attention on Saturday.
"Well, I've been singing, been singing a couple of songs to the people out here, trying to wake them up, get them to give some money here,” said Akinboyewa.
