Syracuse (WSYR-TV) The Syracuse City School District may be on summer vacation, but that doesn't mean the meals won't be served.

Today marks the start of the Summer Food Service Program.  At schools and community centers, free breakfast and lunch will be served to people ages 18 and under.  This helps fill the gap during summer vacation, since many of the kids taking part in this program also receive free meals during the school year too.

You can find out more by calling the Food and Nutrition Office at 435-4207.  You can also check out the sites where meals will be served by clicking here.
