Granby (WSYR-TV) - One person has died after a car crash in Oswego County on Wednesday.
State Police in Fulton say 33-year-old Mathew Bivens of Fulton, died from injuries suffered in a two-car crash on County Route 8 between Bergman Road and Best Drive in the town of Granby.
Troopers say the crash happened at about 2:45 p.m. when a 2004 Ford Ranger pickup truck attempted to turn north on County Route 8 while Bivens was traveling south in a 2004 Chrysler Sebring.
The Ford Ranger pulled in front of Bivens, which resulted in Bivens attempting to take evasive action, according to State Police.
Troopers say Bivens then drove into the northbound lane, striking the Ford Ranger head-on.
Bivens was transported to Oswego Hospital by ambulance, but then airlifted to Upstate University Hospital where he later died.
The other driver was taken to Upstate University Hospital for a leg injury.
State Police are continuing their investigation of the accident.
