Fulton woman facing felony charges for alleged medical theft scheme

Fulton (WSYR-TV) – A Fulton woman was arrested on Thursday, accused of stealing thousands of dollars while working in a doctor’s office.

According to Fulton Police, 41-year-old Tammy Dishaw stole approximately $9,185.05 by altering medical records and creating false insurance payment entries in an effort to conceal the thefts while employed at Dr. Karl Hafner’s Medical Office. Police say the thefts occurred from September 2009 until June 2011.

Dishaw has been charged with grand larceny and falsifying business records. She was arraigned in Fulton City Court and released on her own recognizance.
