Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Family and friends gathered Saturday to celebrate the life of Corey Hill, who was shot and killed last month in a home on Steuben Street in Syracuse.
More than 200 people attended the fundraising event at Benjamin's on Franklin. Funds raised will benefit the Corey Hill Scholarship Foundation, which will offer scholarships to students at Hill's alma mater, Nottingham High School.
Family friend Santo DiFino said, "We'll remember him all the time and now, we'll have something tangible for other people to remember him all the time."
