Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Le Moyne College and the Salvation Army leader's forum are putting on a basketball tournament to raise money for area youth.

The event, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, will be held at Le Moyne college in June of 2010.

“It is so central to the mission of what we do but every once in a while, we get introduced to a program that has a potential to be very special and this one just gleamed of that opportunity. So we're delighted to be a part of that.” said Matt Bassett, Director of Athletics at Le Moyne College.

The tournament will honor the 30th anniversary of the Booth House. The Booth House is a shelter for runaway and homeless youth.

In the shelter’s 30 year history, more than 9,000 teens and their families have been helped out.
