Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – State Police want New York residents to be aware that pistol permits allowing gun owners keep their information private are available online.
Police say the forms can be turned in at a county clerk’s office. They must be submitted to the licensing agency on or before May 15, 2013.
According to the NYSAFE Act, gun owners who notify their licensees about their privacy status can remain exempt from Freedom of Information Laws.
