Hannibal accident victim identified

Hannibal (WSYR-TV) – State Police have identified the man who was taken to the hospital after his car struck a utility pole in the town of Hannibal early Friday morning.

Police say 46-year-old Timothy J. Parody, of Hannibal, was headed southbound on County Route 7 when he left the east side of the roadway and struck the pole.

Parody became entrapped and had to be extricated. He was transported to Upstate University Hospital with leg injuries and is expected to be okay.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

National Grid crews responded to the scene to repair the pole. New York State Police are looking into what caused the accident.
