Mattydale (WSYR-TV) - Traffic along Route 81 south is backed up from Mattydale to Cicero due to planned road construction. Traffic is reduced to one lane in the Mattydale area.
The construction will shut down two lanes of traffic for the next three days from 6am until 6pm. Drivers heading into the city of Syracuse are urged to find an alternate route, or leave some extra time to get to their destination.
As an alternate, drivers heading into Syracuse can use Route 481 south in Cicero to Route 690 west to get into Downtown Syracuse.
