Norwich (WSYR-TV) – Chenango County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a high-level sex offender on Tuesday who they say set up multiple Facebook accounts using different names without telling the authorities.

Christopher Prosser, 35, Norwich, - a level 3 sex offender - was charged with failing to notify law enforcement of an Internet account, a class E felony.

He was arraigned in Town of North Norwich Court and taken to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Smyrna Court at a later date.

In 2005, Prosser was arrested for forcibly touching a then-14-year-old girl.
