Auburn (WSYR-TV) -- Auburn Junior High had to be dismissed early on Thursday because of high winds.

The force of the wind popped a few windows out of their tracks and blew another one completely out.

No students or staff were hurt. The windows were already due to be replaced in a capital project, which was to be bid on next week, but the district is formulating a plane to secure them until that can happen.

The Junior High School will be closed to students on Friday due to the damaged windows. Staff will report as usual. All other schools in the district will be open as normal.
