Mattydale (WSYR-TV) - A popular movie theater known for its low-priced, second-run movies is going through some big changes. The Hollywood Theater in Mattydale has a new system that will allow it to show movies with digital and 3D technology.

Theater owner Ed Forth says moviegoers will notice the difference. "The biggest improvement for customers of the Hollywood Theater is basically that we no longer have film prints. So, no more damage, no more scratches, no more dirt. The picture here is now as clear as any other digital cinema in the country," he said.

Forth also says the Hollywood Theater will continue to charge $1.75 for movies, and admission will be $3.50 for 3D films. The theater shows movies that have ended their run in the big cinema complexes.
