Philadelphia (WSYR-TV) - The No. 2 seed Hoyas are heading home after a 78-68 upset loss to NCAA Tournament newcomers Florida Gulf Coast. The Eagles were seeded No. 15 in the South Regional.

Sherwood Brown led FGCU with 24 points, while Bernard Thompson had 23 in the win over Georgetown.

The Eagles advance to play the winner of the game between seventh seeded San Diego State and No. 10 seed Oklahoma.

Georgetown had national title aspirations, but now settles for an early exit. The Hoyas have lost to double digit seeds in their past four tournament appearances.
