Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Several groups gathered in Syracuse on Friday to rally against New York State budget restrictions that would impact care for the disabled.

A NewsChannel 9 team estimates that several hundred gathered outside of the State Office Building.

They want to see the budget restored so that people with disabilities will continue to receive help from caretakers provided by the group Enable.

Enable is among the dozen or more agencies in the state facing a 6 percent cut under Governor Cuomo’s proposed budget.
