Ice-cream truck operators accused of stalking, harassing rival
Gloversville (WSYR-TV) – An Albany-area couple operating Sno Cone Joe ice-cream trucks has been accused of stalking and harassing a competing truck, Mr. Ding-A-Ling.
Police say 34-year-old Joshua Malatino and his girlfriend – 21-year-old Amanda Scott – of Gloversville repeatedly followed the Mr. Ding-A-Ling truck in their Sno Cone Joe ice cream vehicles.
According to police, the pair played loud music and shouted that they had free ice cream in an effort to draw customers away.
On one occasion, police say Malatino shouted at the Mr. Ding-A-Ling truck that he controls the ice cream business in the city of Gloversville.
They were charged with harassment in the second degree, a violation, and stalking in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor.
