Jordan man accused of attempting to rob a bank with a knife
Jordan (WSYR-TV) - Investigators say 29-year old Bradley Strange was wearing a white plastic face mask when he walked into the Lyons National Bank on N. Main St. in Jordan at about 10:25 a.m.
Onondaga County Sheriff's Deputies say a bank teller noticed that Strange was carrying an empty bag and had a knife in his hand as he approached the counter.
The teller told deputies Strange refused to identify himself and walked out of the bank without taking any money, after the teller backed away from the counter.
He didn't get very far before being spotted by Deputy John Fuller on Mechanic Street in Jordan.
Deputy Fuller says Strange threw down what appeared to be a 5-inch long "steak knife". No injuries were reported.
Strange was scheduled to be arraigned on Saturday afternoon for a felony charge of Attempted Robbery and Misdemeanor Criminal Possession of a Weapon.
