Katie Couric’s new namesake show, “Katie,” has enjoyed an impressive first day on the air.
According to
The Hollywood Reporter, Katie recorded a 2.8 in the household rating and an eight share among the top 56 markets.
The industry publication noted that her debut matched that of Rachel Ray’s premiere in 2006, giving the two shows the honor of having the best premier since “Dr. Phil.”
"Katie" can be seen weekdays at 4 p.m. on NewsChannel 9.
