Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Syracuse Police have arrested a man they say robbed a KeyBank last week.

Police have charged 35-year-old Gilbert Grainger for allegedly robbing the KeyBank, located at 1518 West Genesee Street, last Thursday morning.

Grainger has been charged with robbery in the third degree.

Police allege that Grainger entered the bank and handed the teller a threatening note demanding money.

Grainger fled the scene and left behind a coat and a significant amount of money he allegedly stole from the bank.

Forensic evidence collected at the scene led detectives to Grainger, who was arrested at his home Tuesday morning.

Grainger is being held at the Onondaga County Justice Center pending his arraignment.
